Introduction to Natural Dyeing and English Paper Piecing workshop
Hunter’s Home will hold a workshop on natural dyeing and English paper piecing on Saturday, September 20, from 1 to 4 p.m. Guests will learn how to dye fabric using methods and natural materials that were present in the 1850s. They will use American pokeweed berries and onion skin to dye the fabric fuchsia and yellow. Handkerchief Embroidery Workshop
Back by popular demand, Hunter’s Home’s beginner-level handkerchief embroidery workshop will take place on Saturday, October 18, from 1 to 3 p.m. This workshop is targeted towards everyone ages 12 and up! All supplies, including hoops, fabric, embroidery floss, needles, and sewing accessories, will be included. Come and learn a new lifelong skill while partaking in beverages and snacks! The Night Before Christmas—LIVE!

On Sunday, December 14, from 1 to 5 p.m., join in the seasonal fun at the annual Christmas Open House at Hunter’s Home. You will be transported back to an antebellum Christmas celebration. There will be food typical of the 1850s, most grown or raised at Hunter’s Home, live music, candlelight after dark, Christmas decorations, crafts, and more.
